You are the representation of cosmos

You are the representation of cosmos

I was in the 11th grade. I came home from my training, ate and opened my notebook to study for my math exam. While checking the sheets, I thought about a simple idea.

I asked myself, how many numbers are there between 1 and 2?

The answer was “infinite”.

I thought “alright”, how many numbers are there in total?

“Infinite”.

Logically, I came to the conclusion that despite the fact that “infinities” cannot be compared, one infinity can be bigger than another one. Or at least, it may seem so.

The comparison of infinities provides endless possibilities despite the fact that it poses a mathematical problem.

There are infinite numbers between 1.11 and 1.12.

There are also infinite numbers between 1.111 and 1.112.

In that sense, infinity is both vertical and horizontal. It covers everywhere and can be found everywhere.

This small thought experiment radically changed my perspective towards the world. Each individual possesses own cosmos, own infinity. Each object consists of atoms that build stones, people, crocodiles, rivers and stars. Infinite depth can be found in micro and macro cosmos.

That brought me a different approach. Imagine, you hold all the knowledge available. Everything. Because of your inner depth, you are basically not comparable with any other entity, because that entity would also possess an infinite amount of depth.

A person is a representation of all the cosmos. With all the brightness and darkness. With its growth and entropy. With its vastness and limitations.

Combine mathematics and philosophy. The first one is how nature speaks, and inevitably how you speak. Philosophy is the “wordified” version of mathematics.
