Not being proud of hard work
I believed that hard work is necessary for success.
I still think it is necessary. However, I started not believing in the concept of “hard work”.
What is really “hard work”?
I mean, what is the extent of a work after which it becomes “hard”?
Sometimes, 1 hour of work can be more effective and fruitful than 20 hours of “hard work”.
I came to the conclusion that the concept of “hard work” is romantic.
People have a romantic tendency of putting so much effort and expecting to have results.
And people are also deep down satisfied with the feeling of failure, especially after such “hard work”.
Saying “I tried too hard, worked so hard, and there was nothing else that I could do” is such a romantic sentence. And it is not true.
Yes, it is not true because of the fact that if there is a destination, there should be a relative amount of work to arrive at that destination.
It is just work. It doesn’t need to be hard. It should be done, though.
And if someone needs to arrive at that destination, that relative amount of work should be completed.
It can be completed in 1 month. It can also be completed in 10 years. It all depends on the destination.
When you put down that work, you begin not chasing your destination. Instead, you pull the rope that is connected to your destination.
You make it come to you.
So take your time.
Don’t believe in hard work.
Believe in the work that should be done.
It should be done one way or another.
But it lays behind you and your destination.
Make it come to you as naturally as possible.
