Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious
If you are working on a problem, if you are dealing with various tools and assets, and if you are trying to find solutions, one key recommendation that I can give is to write down any content related to the above-mentioned elements in your notebook before sleeping. Most of our thinking takes place in the subconscious realm, and “Eureka” moments occur due to this continuous subconscious thinking.
Sleeping period is a great time to flourish this potential. I suggest you write down your solution ideas, strategies, advantage-disadvantage charts, SWOT analysis, balance sheets, anything… directly in your notebook before sleeping. During the following days, your brain may suggest interesting ideas to solve the problem that you are working on, and the emergence of such ideas would have been in your sleep without you noticing it.
You may access such ideas not directly in your dreams, but days later, while staring at the ceiling, walking in the park or taking a shower. Those ideas come to you not because of luck. They come to you because you have prepared your brain to concentrate on that, even if you are not consciously thinking about it.
So, give it a shot. At least, you will develop the habit of journaling, which is unbelievably beneficial for mental and physical performance.
The title, by the way, is a quote from Thomas Edison. He solved a wide variety of problems by being an inventor and businessman.
“Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious”.
