Hoping and speculating in investing

Hoping and speculating in investing

If we can improve financial literacy, we will have the opportunity to achieve greater investment returns.

Not only on micro but also on the macro level.

It is not about day trading and speculating.

Actually, each unknowledgeable investment action is a form of speculation.

Grossly overvalued stocks are serious signs of speculation.

Most of the crypto markets, however valuable they might seem, are speculation.

Investment is not gambling.

It is not buying and HOPING that it will go up.

It is also not buying because of the fact that other people do so.

Now the Bitcoin rush is being compared to the gold rush.

Name me one significant family who got rich because of the gold rush.

Systems are important. Not individual achievements.

Instead of HOPING, a young investor should know about value investing, reading balance sheets, how to invest in international markets, dividend aristocrats, ETFs and mutual funds.

Keep the things basic and out of speculation.
