9 steps to destroy a child’s vision as a parent
From the students I work with, I see those 9 fatal mistakes of parents.
They inevitably result in a shattering effect on a child’s vision, and avoiding them, in contrast, builds a supporting atmosphere for the child to grow his own perspective.
Here are the 9 steps to destroy a child’s vision.
- Shut him up when he asks a curious question.
- Compare him openly with one of his friends to highlight a negative behavior he has.
- Tell him to read while not reading at all at home.
- Tell him to stop using his phone while not stopping using phones at all at home.
- Tell him not to lie while keep being dishonest from time to time.
- Refer to him as “This” instead of his name (not very common in English speaking countries, but it can be heard in various other languages)
- Buy everything he wants.
- Tell him to be nice ALWAYS.
- Tell him not to speak without permission.
Parents, avoid them.
No matter how hard to raise your child, avoid them.
You do not need to be a mentor for your child.
In fact, not being a mentor is a great way to let him find his own way.
While you are raising your children, what you do doesn’t really matter. What you don’t do matters.
